We hired John because he was personable and enthusiastic. He was able to look at what we thought was a hopeless landscaping situation and envision something we were unable to see. He was even enthusiastic about our proliferation of huge rocks.

At one point, my sister's husband stated, “No one seems to care about this situation except us.” John looked at him and stated, very seriously, “I care.” And that really won us over because our landscaping situation was the result of a massive retaining wall failure and our property was devastated. Our project was huge.

We needed someone with vision, and the understanding that we would not be able to complete the whole plan at one time. John understood that we would have to work in phases. Our favorite aspect was his ability to listen to what we were saying and give us guidance, which we sorely needed.

He was able to surmount even the distance between us, and was always prompt with replies. We would highly recommend John without reservation. He is a great combination of knowledge, vision, empathy and good communication skills. We appreciate all John was able to do for us. We were in a desperate situation. He knew what our homeowners association would require for a landscape plan, and delivered what was needed in order to meet our needs and timetables. We would have been lost without his expertise.
